We all want to be health. Regardless of our age, health is an important issue amongst us all. But more importantly, we all want to look healthy. Everyone of us seek that magic potion to provide us year after year, a good, natural healthy look. Unfortunately, there is no magic potion. But there are however, things that can be done.

Lets start with our skin, and what is best for that healthy, perhaps wrinkle reducing potion. Vitamin A or sometimes reffered to as retinol, is the leading contributor to healthy skin. Retinol is the purest form of vitamin A, and has time and time again proven its ability to inhibit the increase of collagen-degrading matriametalloproteinases. In fact, vitamin a will encourage new collagen formation, something your body struggles to do as you grow older. Retinol has the ability to penetrate your skin, and converts into retoic acid, that your skin appreciates very much. This process of converting into a substance your skin is crying, for once you reach the age of 40, will revitalize, rejuvenate the skin and protect it from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Now that we have an understanding of what to do for our skin, how about the rest of our vitamin and mineral intake. After all, we are what we eat. Vitamin D is an essential vitamin for bone structure and bone strength. As we get older our bones become frail and when we are younger our bones are in development. Since vitamin D is not found in many foods that we normally eat, fortified foods or a supplement is the way to go. Vitamin D is a vitamin that we should all consider taking routinely to develop bones and the prevention of our bones becoming frail and brittle. How often have you heard of the elderly person falling and breaking a hip or some other bone? It seems it may have been a violent fall, but in reality it is just the frail bones in their bodies.

So we now have healthier looking skin and strong bones, now we just need to stay healthy. So let us start with vitamin c and our immune systems. Vitamin C is an ideal supplement to assist our immune systems in combating illness. Vitamin C will not be the magic cure for colds and the flue, but it gives our immune systems the ability to ward off anything that may come our way. Vitamin c is available in many of the foods we eat or drink, and is also available as a dietary supplement. Well worth taking to stay on the sick free side of the fence.

Then you have the vitamin B complex that makes up several different B vitamins. These B vitamins are essential in maintaining our overall body health and our overall growth. Digestion, cell rejuvenation, aids in the development of bones, helps to boost energy and gives your body an essential vitamin you may be lacking in the foods you eat.
